adopting a senior animal is not only a gesture of love towards them, but is an incredible gift for us too. I'm the mum of a senior cat, he is 19 now and he is the most affectionate and loving creature you can immagine
As a foster home for around 20 dogs and 6 cats in the last 20 years and home for 5 adopted dogs and 4 cats in the moment it means so much that you give a shout-out for adopting.❤❤❤ Thank you!🥹❤️❤️❤️
Lydia. My deepest gratitude for you visiting animals shelter! Such a great influencer like you showing and influencing so many people to show how to love and can do for these less privileged animals means so much for us!!! You heart so big it fills us with so much happiness to see you. Thank you Lydia. Sending you, Ali and your fur babies so much love!!! From New York! ❤❤❤❤
Thank you Lydia to show us Battersea & hopefully someone will see this & feel inspired to help in some way. I have supported Donkeys & dogs charities for a number of years 🙏🏻🇬🇧xxx
Thankyou so much for encouraging your viewers to support a charity. I am so pleased that you have shared this information and talked about supporting a cause -your choice has made this dog lover very happy! We love bags and outfits but this is bringing so much more.X
We adopted a greyhound, he was only one, badly treated in the kennel. He’s now four and a completely different dog, for the better. But it takes time. But we so love him. Thanks for highlighting Battersea.
Thanks so much for bringing more awareness to animal shelters 😍 A big shout out to everbody who's working or volunteering in them and to everybody who's donating or helping in any kind of way ❤❤❤❤ Have a wonderful evening 😍
Lydia, you have a heart, so big that you could offer all the animals in the shelter a home in your heart. 🧡🧡 And at the same time you are realistic enough to know what an in home shelter entails, what impact it can have on your furrbabies and the commitment, space and time it requires. Thank you for articulating that so respectfully.🧡 It's great that you use your platform to introduce us to this great project and its importance. They have found a valuable ambassador in you. Lots of love, Dorien x
Thank you dorien, I believe being a responsible pet owner is so much more than just adopting. And it often leaves people feeling helpless, I hope this videos shares that there are many ways to help them x
As someone that has always loved being a feminine woman that wears dresses daily too, I understand the draw to pearls. I have a pair of real pearl stud earrings that I wear as my everyday earrings and they dress up and dress down so easily and I always feel well dressed whenever I wear them. I'm so pleased that you are bringing awareness to animal shelters and shelter dogs. I have three West Highland Terriers, so I can't handle anymore, but I still want to support. As you say, they constantly go through a LOT of food and necessary supplies, so our local animal rescue has an ongoing "wish" list of things they need on a regular basis on Amazon and other sites where people can purchase them and have them drop shipped direct to the facility whenever it's convenient for them to make a donation. We do this a lot, so I'm glad that you are also reminding people that they can help even if they can't take an animal into their homes. As far as getting more animals. I have three Westies, they were my CHRISTmas gift. I was only supposed to have two, but one was the runt of the litter and the last one left and Hubster and my sons KNEW that if I found out there was only one left, I'd make them go back and get her, so they just decided to avoid another trip and brought her home too. While I love and adore all three, I will tell you that having three there is always one that seems to be left out of the pets and cuddles because we only have two hands and I always feel bad that one isn't getting the same attention as the others, so I'll probably never get a third one again. Can't wait to see your progress with your chickens. When I had mine I raised them from hours old chicks. They knew my voice, so when I'd go outside, if they heard me they'd all come running and that silly running flapping flying thing they do, just to be near me. It was a wonderful experience that I believe you and your husband are going to love. Thanks for sharing it all with us. I'm enjoying watching your growth and progress. Enjoy the day God has blessed us with.
I’m so grateful for you taking the time to leave me such a detailed message! It really does mean the world. That’s a very good point about the three pets although we already have three, oops 🙈 but we are super excited to share the chicken journey x
I too love wearing dresses, especially in the summertime, but I do yard work as my job, and other farm things so I can't wear dresses much at all. Plus I only have a couple of dresses, hence my job, I mostly have old work clothes to wear and I just wear t-shirts, jeans or shorts when I have to go to town to do something. Maybe someday I'll be able to afford some new cheap clothes, like under $20, to wear. Please don't think I'm complaining, bec I'm definitely not. I'm so blessed to have everything I have and I'm most definitely happy 😊
@@lydiamillen well I meant three dogs, as they usually want attention all at the same time. Your beautiful cat sort of does her own thing and gets the attention she wants when she wants it.
Pearls go with EVERYTHING! And can be worn EVERYWHERE too! I have been wearing them and collecting them all of my life too. In fact when I was born I was given my first pearl and carried on for years for an ongoing necklace which is sweet and dear to me today almost 70 yrs. later and wear with my other pearls. ❤
Talk about romanticising every aspect of life! I love how descriptive you are in explanations and just in your every day speech, Lydia! Love, love watching your videos. This was my favourite so far with the inclusion of the animals! :)
Thank you for taking us to see the Battersea facility. I’m from the US and I’m an animal behaviorist and teacher. I work with people and organizations all over the world including the UK. My passion and focus is rescuing animals and all of my personal pups have always been rescues. I’m grateful that you shared this with your views. Someone like you can amplify the issues that shelter face each day. Many lives may be saved just because you choose to highlight this rescue. Again thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Seeing you sit in your beautiful garden with all your fur babies around you and an Hermes vintage bag on your lap… it was such a lovely moment! And the bag! Stunning! Possibly my favourite of your Hermes collection so far. Enjoy it! ❤️
Oh my word! So many things!! That new Birkin is actually my DREAM bag! I love that vintage luggage style, and am obsessed with that colour combo, so excited for you girl!
I LOVE that you went to that shelter and learned more of what they do and what they need to continue doing all the good that they do for so many homeless animals! All animals are a huge responsibility and can be a lot of work, but the joy they bring and the love they give is so worth the time, effort and expense... but of course only with all the responsible adults signing off and agreeing to the additional responsibilities! 😉☺️😊🥰😘 I hope this information encourages people to become more involved in their community’s animal shelters... or rescue organizations, if they are obsessed with a certain breed. There are so many pets in need of a loving, safe and responsible home! Whether to help out at the facility, or foster the animals in preparation for their forever homes, or to adopt a pet who needs the rest of their lives filled with your love, or donating funds or food, shelters are always in need of help. And if some can’t currently have a pet due to living situations, work obligations or lack of finances, they can always volunteer at a shelter and give of their time and love to those sweet angels until the right amount of socialization is done and perfect forever home is found! So much great information you shared! Lydia, if you continue to work with them, maybe you could quickly highlight a pet in a weekly video who is ready to go to their forever home... and they are just waiting on their prospective new pawrents to fill out the paperwork and pass the tests to find out if they are the perfect fit! I bet your social media reach could facilitate a lot of happy pets finding loving homes! Just an idea because it is more than evident you are a huge animal lover and would find joy in helping. Having a “pet corner segment” with a 15 to 30 second video or screen shot of the pet in need while telling a brief “bio”! Might be a fun thing to do to help out. I’m sure the shelter would be more than happy to provide the video/picture and any and all pertinent information to you!💗🤷🏻♀️💗 No pressure at all... just a thought that might bring everyone a lot of joy if you are actually up for such a thing. You may prefer to donate in a different way. 💗
Lydia, thank you for visiting the animal shelter and bringing awareness to the needs of homeless animals. My own dog is a rescue dog - he was turned in by his first owner at just 18 months old. Those pearl earrings look lovely on you Lydia! Arh, 🐾 I loved the little long haired doggie! That was was definitely a Lydia kind of dog, she looked so high end and designer! x 😚
I love Ali’s response to Lydia showing him her new vintage bag - Ali thinking, it’s another bag, pausing and saying ‘Wow!’ on cue, bless him. Even when he’s thinking of bees and hen coops he can come up with the right response. That’s a keeper!!
Yes, thank you Lydia. We need more people to adopt from a shelter. Spade and neuter not only prevents several births, it actually can give your pet additional years of life.
Be still my heart Lydia! I’m an animal lover too. I hope they were able to hone those adorable dogs to a wonderful, caring family. Thank you for taking us along with you. 😘
Pearls go with anything - jeans and a t-shirt or an elegant dress - here is the southern united states, we wear them with everything. Your earrings are beautiful.
Can we just NOTICE that we love the fact Lydia come with the most beautiful and expensive white dress and CLEARLY don’t care about hugging a puppy who can by anytime ruins her dress but accident ❤❤❤❤. This is why we love you. Elegant, sophisticated but altruistically human and concerned.
I’ve rescued three dogs over my adult life and fostered one. They’ve all had very long lives and have enhanced ours. So important to highlight that there are so many animals out there that need rescuing. Thank you ❤
I adopted a dog (here in Spain) and he was the scariest dog I’ve known. He’s been with us for 3 Heras now and he sentido through an Ivdd surgery. He’s still a shy and introvert dog but at least he’s happy. But adopting or rehoming a dog is not easy always. You are so right about knowing how to manage the situation. But I love my boy Cooper with all my heart. I love you were able to spend your precious time with those lovely and lonely animals. ❤
We adopted an ex-racing greyhound 5 years ago and it was the best decision we ever made. He has transformed with love and care into a sweet and happy boy. Thank you for highlighting adoption and referencing greyhounds. X
Honestly perfect timing, I've been looking for some pearl earrings that don't grannify me (i'm young). Thank you for this, just ordered two pairs off the website.
Adopting is the most amazing thing u can do .i adopted 6 cats, i work with animals and soon im gonna by a house with a huge land that i can adopt more animals, dogs, chickens, pigs, whatever i can to save those poor animals.
It was so wonderful of you to take us to the dog and cat rescue. There are so many wonderful, beautiful animals that need care and love and you've just helped, and I hope, inspired your viewers to go down and adopt one of those precious animals.
My favorite part of your vlogs and instagram is that, you’ve got a beautiful magnetic energy to you, so does Ali. All of yours and Ali’s content is so appealing while being well thought out. Yes, I’m the one that refers to you as the Garden 🪴 Goddess and Ali as the Firecracker. Gorgeous couple! ❤❤
Come on Lydia four is as easy as three and rehoming a little dog or big would be lovely. I have three Westies and because of you I now have a Lumi too take care and keep safe ❤️🙏🏻🐶
a good dupe for the Hermès bag is the Tory Burch tote bag in leather tan / beige. It has the exact same colours and you can find it second hand - it’s the perfect travel bag 🥰
Another way to help rescues is just to give some time. Shelters always need people to play with dogs and cats, walk them, help to socialize them. Many smaller rescues need help with social media skills. That’s something you can do even if you don’t live near the rescue. You can highlight adoptable dogs on your social media pages. There are so many ways to help and all the help is needed.
I rescued my boy who lived his best 14 years until he passed away this March and I would always try to rescue but for now it’s so raw! I’ve got a missing part of me 🥺. Loves this video Lydia! Also I remember when you used to have all the ear stacks, have you stopped doing that now! All the best! LJ ❤🐶
Thank you for bringing this subject to everyone's attention. As the proud pawrents of 7 dogs and 5 cats, I highly encourage others to adopt a pet (or 2)! ❤
I have to agree with the colour specialist, Lydia when you put the gold necklace on, it lit up your complexion, suits you so well, gold is definitely your colour, jewellery wise.
The first video of yours I watched was shoe collection 😂 would love if you could do a shoe and bag collection as your style has changed so much (in a good way)!
I volunteer at our local sanctuary. It's so amazing to be part of an animals rehabilitation. Something that everyone can do - you can chose a charity on Amazon, and when you shop, amazon donate to that charity 'x' amount of £££ depending on your spend. It doesn't cost you any extra, it's just something they do. If everyone did this, that's a lot of £££ that could go to animal sanctuaries (or other charities that are close to your heart if not animals) xx
Lydia your vlogs are next level. Loved the real you, real influencer, caring human being. Your laughter, sense of styling, love love love all the things you show you inspire me ❤. I eagerly wait for your notification....see you soon, love from India ❤
My husband and I have rescued a number of mixed breed dogs from animal shelters here in the States. I have found that they have wonderful temperaments. At the moment we are babysitting our 140 Lb Newfie grandpup Archie while our daughter and her husband are on their honeymoon in Sicily. Interesting observation while we were attending a polo match in Newport. Everyone was so interested in Archie, and ignored our lovely Harper. Could it be due to the size of Archie? Perhaps. People are so odd.
Loved this vlog! My mum really wanted chickens but my dad said no, so when they went to Cheltenham for the week I built a chicken coop in their garden and brought them chickens from Bell plantation and left them an egg box with a note in their kitchen 🤣🤣 xx
Just watching your new jewellery, I definitely feel your a diamond girl not a pearl lady (not hoops either) but I love the double pearl earrings for myself!
My little Maltipoo, Lucy and my Poodle, Shyloh, had 2 babies, the little male didn't make it and I thank God all dogs go to heaven. My cousin bought the little female, Katie, at the same time my aunt who is my cousin's mom, got really sick, so I and Katie went to stay with and take care of my aunt. While Katie stayed with me, i let her sit in the chair with me while i was eating and des her out of my plate. Then after my aunt passed away, her son/my cousin took Katie home with him. He wasn't the least bit impressed with Katie sitting next to him while eating, snatching food from his plate bec he wasn't feeding her his food😅. ❤

As a fellow ice cold water girlie, Stanley’s are the best! Also, was i crying when you went to see the animals?? Yes, yes I was 😭❤️
Better than the 30 ounce Yeti . I have ice that last greater than 24 hours.
Love the explanation of your first dog being bred and your second being rescued ♥️
Pearls are absolutely beautiful and so is your new bag!!!❤
We have adopted many seniors. The love they give is like nothing I have ever experienced.
Oh this makes me want to cry x
a good dupe for the Hermès bag is the Tory Burch tote bag in leather tan / beige. It has the exact same colours and you can find it second hand - it’s the perfect travel bag 🥰
❤agree!
LJ ❤🐶
Omg I fell in love with Fendi. We have a shih tzu for 12 years now she is the love of our family.
Lydia!!!! This couldn't be more you ❤ you will have made such a difference xxxxx
I hope so x
Best part of this rainy Thursday 🥰✨
Loved this vlog Lydia. I do hope that through this some viewers will adopt
That’s the first Hermes bag I’ve gasped at 😮 in love!!
I had the same reaction!
Lovely jewelry, pearls are so timeless. Your bag is amazing, enjoy❤
Kudos to you for your unconditional love for animals
I volunteer at our local sanctuary. It's so amazing to be part of an animals rehabilitation. Something that everyone can do - you can chose a charity on Amazon, and when you shop, amazon donate to that charity 'x' amount of £££ depending on your spend. It doesn't cost you any extra, it's just something they do. If everyone did this, that's a lot of £££ that could go to animal sanctuaries (or other charities that are close to your heart if not animals) xx
Thank you for bringing awareness to these dogs in need of a home.
Thank you so much for helping animals, God bless you
You can feed a lot of vegetable food scraps to your chickens as well!
Isn’t this wonderful 🙌🏻
Lydia your vlogs are next level. Loved the real you, real influencer, caring human being. Your laughter, sense of styling, love love love all the things you show you inspire me ❤. I eagerly wait for your notification....see you soon, love from India ❤
This is fantastic feedback thank you x
Paused the video to have a little mooch ended up finding a dream pair of earrings I’d been envisioning, so on a whim got them 🤭. Now back to the vid!
Lydia, I know Battersea dog and cat home was known for dogs but now they re-home cats also. Was looking forward to seeing cats also
My husband and I have rescued a number of mixed breed dogs from animal shelters here in the States.
You had me at vintage Hermes 💟👌🙌
Feels like a life time we've had 2 videos a week 😂
Loved this vlog!
My mum really wanted chickens but my dad said no, so when they went to Cheltenham for the week I built a chicken coop in their garden and brought them chickens from Bell plantation and left them an egg box with a note in their kitchen 🤣🤣 xx
Thank you so much for visiting animal shelter 🤍
The gold pearl stacked necklace is stunning! 😍
Isn’t it stunning 🥰
Just watching your new jewellery, I definitely feel your a diamond girl not a pearl lady (not hoops either) but I love the double pearl earrings for myself!
Did I blink & miss the chicken coop?
Going to Battersea Dogs and Cat Home showed the other side of you, a caring kind person, don’t change ❤️
Where are the Chickens? We thought we were going to see the Chickens or at least the coop?
This bag is a dream
Thank you for the code dear Lydia. I will use it to start my Christmas shopping. My daughter and niece will love the pearl jewelry. 💕💕
How organised of you 🥰
Did you show the chicken coops? Missed it 😮
All those pearls are just divine!
Sei una Donna splendida: bella dentro e fuori. Complimenti di cuore e continua a comportarti con amore e solidarietà.
